Looking forward to finishing out the first year of my new schola this next week! The second year of their existence will bring much more chant and truly sacred music! (As well as occasionally transplanting the offetory or processional hymns with the introit and offertory chants in their proper place! Imagine that!)

The only fancy thing that was done was the Dering Duo Seraphim, which I sang with the most capable woman in the group. We did it from opposite ends of the loft (organist in the middle), chori spezzati with very small chori. Pretty much everything else was chant Ordinary and Proper, but they're doing both much better these days.
We managed Mass II, Credo I, and a 3-part setting of O Lux Beata Trinitas which I inherited, but I don't know who wrote it. It sounds Dufay-ish.
In the future, I'm thinking of setting a portion of the Lorica of St. Patrick for Trinity Sunday. I'll probably start with a psalm tone version and move up from there.
