A question for Latin scholars

    In Liber Cantualis the heading for the opening Compline hymn (pg. 112, no. 104) reads “HYMNUM” when one would expect “HYMNUS.” While granting the possibility of spelling and gender variations in a language active hundreds of years over vast geographical regions, isn’t this just an uncharacteristic misprint?

    Anyone out there with an enlightened explanation?

    I imagine they are saying something like "for" or "at" the hymn.
