This beautiful Eastertide anthem of the Blessed Virgin Mary was a regular Easter favorite of St. Mary’s Choir in Akron, Ohio. The composer was the Organist and Director of the Choir of the Cathedral of The Holy Cross, Boston, in the 1850s and 1860s. Please take a few minutes to read about this wonderful Easter anthem and the composer’s contributions to Catholic music, and a special tribute to the organist who served St. Mary’s Parish for sixty-seven years.
