Yet again, the OF calendar, moving of feasts, and OCM are confusing me. Epiphany here is moved to Sunday the 8th, so Friday is a Christmas ferial day (can't stand that we do this). The OCM says the propers are for the second Sunday after Christmas OR for Christmas day. Since Mary, Mother of God replaced the second Sunday after Christmas this year, do I still use the propers of that Sunday for this Friday? Or should I use the propers for Christmas day? Thanks for the help once again.
When Epiphany is moved to a Sunday, there's never a Second Sunday after Christmas; it will always be Epiphany. So, because you live in a region where Epiphany is transferred to a Sunday, you could reason that: - you choose the propers of the Second Sunday after Christmas, because they are otherwise never sung, or - you choose the propers of Christmas Day, because the Second Sunday after Christmas is never the previous Sunday of a Christmas Weekday before Epiphany
