It is a funny, if tacit, admission that a lot of contemporary music is not very singable…

Reminds of the contemporary "Worship NOW" hymnals that are available these days. Sounds like a command to me.

Which is precisely why I have always laugh when people say that some of the hymns that I pick are too hard, and yet they can sing a lot of this dribble from memory. It is merely an issue of willpower and nothing more… Because if you can sing any of the greatest hits from the 70s and 80s where every single verse has a different notated and nitpicky rhythm and there are weird leaps, then you can certainly sing Parry’s Laudate Dominum.

People need to be careful with language.
"Incredible" literally means "not believable".
So are we not to believe that they are Catholic, or composers, or both?
