Elementary School Music Teacher (part-time, with potential for full-time with the right candidate)

Lumen Christi Catholic School is seeking a music teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. The teacher will teach music classes for students in grades 1-8, including two student choir classes. Classes include basic knowledge of music and development of vocal music. The position includes 10 40-minute class sessions, all between 12:15 and 2:25 pm, on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday each week. The ideal teacher would prepare students for a liturgical program in December and an end-of-school musical program in May.

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualities and skills:

Love for the Catholic Faith and fidelity to the Magisterium of the Church
Love for students and good rapport
Effective classroom management and high expectations for students
Professionalism: organized, punctual, and collaborative, with strong communication skills

Teacher certification is not a requirement.
