St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Laurel, Maryland, is seeking cantors and an accompanist to assist with singing the Propers of the Mass in English at the 8 am Sunday Mass using Fr. Weber's "The Proper of the Mass for Sundays and Solemnities."

The expectation is that the easier plainchant settings will be used at first while the congregation gets used to singing the antiphons, which are currently being recited at the Mass. Over time, the more melismatic settings can be used, hopefully growing to the point that Latin settings can be used.

Compensation will be based on experience. Instruction is available for interested musicians not familiar with chant notation. Individual weekends are available if interested parties are not able to commit to every weekend.
