    The month of August has arrived! For my HYMN OF THE MONTH write-up I have chosen a hymn for Feast of the Assumption. This beautiful hymn was written by a Catholic priest in 1860. Several melodies were composed but melody that achieved the greatest success was composed by a Sister of Mercy. Please take a few moments to read about this wonderful hymn for the Feast of the Assumption.

    You know, these verses (a half-verse at a time) could be added into the Immaculate Mary, if a long processional hymn is needed.

    The tune from the St. Mary's Manual is by far the best for this impressive text.
