    Other texts may be substituted legally If they have been approved by the relevant Conference of Bishops. USCCB has, I am told, declared officially that a text approved by one bishop is automatically approved by them all. If OCP publishes anything it is considered thereby approved by the Archbishop.

    The church, and indeed the Roman pontiff, is the supreme interpreter of natural law.

    Natural law is not about scientific law. That’s another meaning of “natural.”
