There is a hope as yet unborn; The birth pangs are already here. The promised dawn, the waiting morn Comes, every moment, yet more near.
From deep within my hope filled ache Joy leaps to greet the rising sun. How can this be, that God should make Me midwife to the Chosen One?
This world and I, we labor on. Waiting for God, our bodies groan ‘Til with the promised, coming dawn We are redeemed and made God’s own.

Feel free to use with any LM tune. But also Henry Gaida graciously wrote a new tune for it. Which I will post when I am not on my phone (Unless he does it first)
Here it is---if Adam doesn't mind me stealing his thunder.
The tune is called ROYAL PRIESTHOOD (after a suggestion Kathy Pluth for a title for the text), and is in a modal style (mode I), intended to be reminiscent of Anglo-American folk melody, though harmonized in a standard 'common practice' hymn style.
