    Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, it has.
    I have loved listening to Fr Jackson preach and I think he is very smart. Prayers for all involved.

    The FSSP released a statement, asking that we begin by giving Fr Jackson his right to presumed innocence until proven guilty.

    Having read the article, I have the distinct impression that "hair on fire" is not a warranted response.

    He took and passed a criminal background check. Not fond of these, but this one acts in his defense.
    He's 66 years old. Not a crime.
    Someone connected to the Church managed to download child pornography. This is evil.
    He has a long established record of having neither the inclination to view this stuff nor the capacity to gain access to it. Add to that that he's a busy Catholic priest, and he does not have motive or opportunity.

    If Lucy and Edmund Pevensie were accused of lying, which would be credibly accused?

    In those circumstances, I think it is best to "wait and see". And, I would add, pray.
