I once could sing everything from a bass's low F to a countertenors high G. No more, but I'm thankful (and overjoyed) that I can still sing rather well....into decline...

I once had a singer do that to me in a new choir. I applied the appropriate instructions to correct his shortcoming and all turned out well. It became known later that he was a flawless singer who enjoyed pretending to be a bad one once in a while. He could be flawlessly good or flawlessly bad at will, Good or bad, he was a superb singer.... off key on purpose..
