I must say I'm astonished at Norrington's tempo! The piece is given as Deus tuorum militum in the 1641 Selva morale e spirituale, with a note "alla qual aria si puo cantare parimente Ut queant laxis di S. Gio. Batt. & simili" ; i.e. any LM text.
It works with SAB or rather MMB as well, and one can play the two violin parts in the right hand fairly easily from Peter Rottländer's full score.
