This weekend we're celebrating the anniversary of our church dedication. My lumen christi missal and graduals, however, have nothing for such a day. :(
this thread helped me find the propers. So, thanks for that.
However I can't seem to find anyone else who has asked for or offered an arrangement of the responsorial psalm (which is "How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of Hosts" if google is to be believed?)
Does anyone know a decent arrangement of this responsorial psalm?
Per Daily Roman Missal, p. 2042, there are five options for the RP for the Common of the Dedication of a Church [ = Anniversary of the Dedication of a Church ]:
1 Chr 29: 10, 11, 12 "We praise your glorious name, O mighty God."
Ps 46: 2-3, 5-6, 8-9 "The Lord of Hosts is with us; our stronghold is the God of Jacob." [see Tuesday of the Fourth Week of Lent]
Ps 84: 3, 4, 5 and 10, 11 "How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord, mighty God!" [see Tuesday of the Fifth Week in Ordinary Time, Year II]
Ps 95: 1-2, 3-5, 6-7 "Marana tha! Come, Lord Jesus!" [ see Saturday of the Thirty-Fourth Week in Ordinary Time, Year II]
Ps 122: 1-2, 3-4ab, 8-9 "Let us go rejoicing into the house of the Lord" [see the First Sunday of Advent, Year A; omit the verses not needed]
At least the last option will be easy to find set to music.
