Where to find a preface prayer in latin for votive masses of the B.V.M?

    The first of the two prefaces assigned to votive masses of the B.V.M. in the 2003 missal is identical to the Preface of the B.V.M. found in the pre-Conciliar missal.

    If you don't have such a missal, let me know, and I'll write out this preface for you.

    If you need the second of the two prefaces assigned, you can find it in the Ordo Missae in Cantu (Solesmes). If you don't have this, let me know, and I'll write it out for you.

    The 2002 Missal has two Prefaces of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the main section for Prefaces:

    1. Variable, for Marian celebrations (insert text at the ellipsis, e.g., "Nativitate"):

    Vere dignum et iustum est, æquum et salutáre,
    nos tibi semper et ubíque grátias ágere:
    Dómine, sancte Pater, omnípotens ætérne Deus:
    Et te in ... beátæ Maríæ semper Vírginis collaudáre,
    benedícere et prædicáre.
    Quæ et Unigénitum tuum
    Sancti Spíritus obumbratióne concépit,
    et, virginitátis glória permanénte,
    lumen ætérnum mundo effúdit,
    Iesum Christum Dóminum nostrum.
    Per quem maiestátem tuam laudant Angeli,
    adórant Dominatiónes, tremunt Potestátes.
    Cæli cælorúmque Virtútes, ac beáta Séraphim,

    2. The Church proclaims the praises of God in Mary's words:

    You can download a PDF file with an OCR of the entire 2002 Missale Romanum from this French site. This will give you all prefaces in one single file.

    Yes. I never had any problems logging in to that French site (with which I'm not affiliated, btw), but you're not the first person in this forum to complain. If your problems persist, drop me an e-mail and I'll try to put the pdf online somewhere else for a while till you download it. (I guess there's nothing wrong with that.)
