Description

The Basilica of the Assumption in Baltimore, MD, is seeking staff singers for a quartet (SATB) that will sing at all Sunday 10:45 am Masses throughout the year (including Summer Sundays, excluding the First Sunday in July). The quartet will also sing for Holy Days of Obligation, Holy Week, Christmas, and occasional weekday rehearsals. Pay will be $105 per call. Typical Sunday calls will consist of a rehearsal from 9:30 to 10:30 am with Mass beginning at 10:45 am.

Requirements

Applicants must have excellent sight-singing skills and musicianship. Knowledge of Gregorian Chant (or at least a willingness to learn) is also expected and experience with one-on-a-part polyphonic singing is preferred. Availability for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day (Feast of Mary, Mother of God) is required.
