GABC help or advice please

    I would like to typeset the 1753 Oratorian chants of the Marian Antiphons using Gabc, since the originals are set in something similiar to current standard appearance. Because the chants have notes of six different lengths, I thought it essential to attach a key to the notation to each piece. The attached shows that I can achieve that in the Illuminare editor, but although that displays, when I click on the PDF button I get a 'syntax error' message. And I get the same from other editors, just an error message. So two questions: 1/ where is the error? 2/ alternative approaches?

    This worked better for me, though I couldn't get the final bar to line up with the colon:

    Thanks chonak. I wonder what it sounded like? The relative length of the notes is described just by showing snippets of chant as examples. Could one guess that the first couple of phrases sound much like current practice?
