Holy Redeemer Catholic Church is searching for a full-time Director of Music. A thorough knowledge of the Catholic liturgy, a Bachelor’s degree in music, and previous experience is necessary. Strong organ, piano, and conducting skills are required. The Director of Music is responsible for the planning and accompanying of all weekend liturgies (Saturday vigil and three Sunday morning), as well as holy days, funerals, weddings, and other special liturgies. He/she is also responsible for the Holy Redeemer Choir (26 member choir with paid section leaders, weekly during choir season), the Holy Redeemer Vigil Choir (weekly year-round), the Holy Redeemer Schola (seasonal), and the Holy Redeemer Children’s Choir (school-year). The Director of Music functions as an integral member of the parish staff, is responsible for maintaining the music library and music budget, and for recruiting and training cantors and other musicians. Holy Redeemer has a 2 manual, 17-rank Möller pipe organ recently renovated in 2015. Salary is based on education and experience, and a full benefits package is available.
