For the Easter Vigil a few weeks ago, I did an English adaptation of the last movement of BWV 129, with the text "Awake, O Wintry Earth." It was perfect for a large pick-up choir (chorale, easy-to-learn) and festive instrumentation. We have another big Mass coming up soon and I was wondering if you could recommend another Easter movement in the same vein (i.e. "Jesu, Joy" style; choir sings harmonized chorale, instruments do the hard stuff)?
John Ferguson has many good hymns arranged for large choirs with Brass and/or organ accompaniments. I think the publisher for at least some of them is Morningstar Music.
