The Church in her history never recedes in a crisis... she always steps forward, takes the lead and does what God expects us to do. Meet the crisis head on. Attached is a little bit of tradition to help you tackle the present situation in a pragmatic way.
Could it be he who fears death, innately fears judgement (lacking self-realization) and are without knowledge/impetus to rectify the horror of one's eternal loss?
The Star of Heaven that nourished the Lord drove away the plague of death which the first parents of man brought into the world. May this bright Star now vouchsafe to extinguish that foul constellation whose battles have slain the people with the wound of death.
O most pious Star of the Sea, preserve us from pestilence; hear us, O Lady, for Thy Son honors Thee by denying Thee nothing. Save us, O Jesus, for whom Thy Virgin Mother supplicates Thee.
The origins of this prayer are, as some writings have detailed, from the Sisters of the Monastery of Santa Clara in Coimbra, Portugal, during the plague in 1317.
Thank you, Francis, for the prayer you attached. I printed it out, and I plan to have my family pray it (except the parts only a priest says). Sadly, we we be without the Mass for a while in our diocese now. It looks like--for the present, at least--we will still have confessions regularly. Thanks be to God for that.
do not give in to hype, propaganda or outright lies about your safety or health... FEAR is the tool of the evil one, and we are not to be subject to fall under its oppression, support its erroneous malicious consequences or proliferate its lies.
