A choral directing opportunity has come up at St John Choir Schola (www.sjcschola.ca). We are currently accepting applications and scheduling interviews.

The St John Choir Schola is a non-auditioned choral program for homeschooled children in Grades 1-12, with an adjunct academic program taught in the classical Catholic tradition. There are about 110 students in the program. Grades 1-6 attend two days a week (Wednesday/Friday) and Grades 7-12 attend four days a week (Tuesday-Friday). All students sing in the choirs, and every choir meets twice a week.

Our current Junior Choir Director will be stepping down at the end of this school year. Our Junior program is currently divided into two choirs: Little Lambs (Grades ½) and the Junior Choir (3-6), but because the program is growing, as of this Fall we will be dividing the older Junior Choir into two choirs so there will now be three Junior Choirs: Little Lambs (1/2), Grades ¾ and Grades 5/6. We are looking for a director who would be willing to take on the two older junior choirs (3/4 and 5/6), or, if they prefer, all three junior choirs.

Any inquiries can be sent to a.boudreau@sjcschola.ca
