St. Timothy parish is seeking a bass section leader for an adult choir which sings at the weekly 10:45AM Mass on Sundays. The section leader will act both as a leader within and an advocate for the bass section, will act as soloist for choral and service music, and will also be part of a smaller group within the choir which will prepare more difficult choral music.

Repertoire includes traditional hymns and service music (both metric and plainsong), Gregorian chant, English chant, and sacred polyphony in Latin and English.

The bass section leader must be willing to sing for Christmas Mass at Night as well as for the Easter Triduum, and for special rehearsals (besides the regular Thursday rehearsals) leading up to these. He may also be called upon as a solo cantor for other parish Masses or for weddings and funerals, as opportunities arise.
