St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Falls Church VA is seeking a full time music director. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in music or equivalent experience. Director will be responsible for leading and developing the parish liturgical music program to provide sacred music in various styles. The parish community is ethnically diverse, offering a unique opportunity for excellent music to build a unified expression of our Catholic Faith. Candidate should have knowledge of the rich Catholic music tradition as well as contemporary styles to enhance and support the prayer and worship of the entire parish community. Ideal candidate should be bi-lingual, English/Spanish. Duties include all Sundays, Holy Days of Obligation, and special parish celebrations; adult choirs and children's choirs; scheduling and coordinating cantors/organists, training cantors, interfacing with and supporting the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School music program; coordinating music for weddings, funerals, and special events.
