The USCCB has released a new edition The Order of Blessing the Oil of Catechumens and of the Sick and of Consecrating the Chrism. On Ash Wednesday, March 6, 2019, this text became the required English translation for use in the United States. Note that this is for the United States only, as adaptations were made to the editio typica.
Along with the new translations, musical settings of the O Redemptor and the blessings/consecration are included. The music itself is from the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales and has been modified and used with permission. Their new translation came into effect as mandatory from Lent 2018 (see HERE).
A note should also be made that the USCCB has permitted reproduction in printed form free of charge, for non-commercial purposes, and in publications not for sale, by parishes, dioceses, schools, and religious communities, provided that the copyright acknowledgment which appears at the foot of each page is included.
