Votive Mass of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Supreme and Eternal Priest
  • Does anyone know of any musical settings of the Propers for this particular Mass? Or music that was composed for this Mass in particular? Or even a Mass setting to recommend (the color is white, no Credo). It was only established recently (1935). I found Handel's Juravit Dominus, but I'm sure it's too difficult for the group I'm directing. I have found a few settings of the Communion antiphon (Hoc Corpus). Other than that there's not much in my search thus far.

There is a chant introit. I would give that a look and see what you think.

    YOUNGSTER!

(That's not a complaint, by the way.)
  • If you are looking for chant settings, see the Liber Usualis pp 1283 ff. or the Institute website:

For a Mass setting, any of the chant Masses II-VII might be nice, as would Palestrina's Missa Aeterna Christi Munera (at CPDL):

If you are looking for settings in parts for Propers... sorry!
