BOOK: EVERYDAY WE PRAISE YOU
  • Is there anybody here familiar with this book EVERY DAY WE PRAISE YOU? It contains the first week of the psalter of the Liturgy of the Hours, tones for the antiphons, canticles and psalms. Is there an edition of this that contains the tones for the complete Psalter? Thanks!

Fr Victor Hoagland, the Passionist Father who edited those, is active on Twitter and perhaps might know of resources:

Another book from the same publisher, "Christian Prayer" from Catholic Book Publishing Co., has several sets of tones, at pp. 1715-1720. Also, the psalm tones used at St. Meinrad's (and some other monasteries) are available.

  • @chonak: yes, i have a copy of Christian Prayer that has music. But i’m looking for something that has the music (similar or that sounds like to Every Day We Praise You) for antiphons for the entire 4 week psalter.

I do think St Meinrad's has made them, since I've heard them sung at St. Anselm Abbey in New Hampshire; but on-line only their Sunday Lauds and Vespers are available, on this page:

The Like Burning Incense Antiphonary from the nuns of the Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament, Farmington Hills, MI has all the chants in English. They permit reproduction as long as the notice of their copyright is included. The Dropbox link is HERE.
