    Call for Papers and presentations 2010

    The next annual conference of the Society for Catholic Liturgy will take place at St Mary's Church in Greenville, South Carolina, from 28 to 31 January 2010. The topic of the conference is Munera Liturgica: Liturgical Roles and Responsibilities. The conference committee invites submissions for papers and workshops from scholars and professionals in sacred liturgy and related fields (e.g., liturgical theology and sacramental theology, biblical studies, patristics, medieval studies, eastern Christianity, Church history), the social sciences, sacred architecture, sacred art, and sacred music. SCL members and non-members are welcome to submit proposals.

    Track I Papers

    Conference papers will be 45 minutes in length, followed by 15 minutes of discussion. Papers presented will be considered for publication in Antiphon: A Journal for Liturgical Renewal, the journal of the Society for Catholic Liturgy. Please follow Antiphon's guidelines when preparing submissions for the journal.

    Track II Workshop Presentations

    Pastoral workshop presentations are geared for an audience of pastoral leaders in parishes who work in formation, liturgy, youth, catechesis, family life ministry, and related areas. The sessions will be an hour in length and will be simultaneous with the Track I paper presentations to the membership.

    Paper and presentation proposals should be emailed to the conference coordinator. Proposals may also be mailed to Linda Porter, 14588 CR 1131, Flint, Texas, 75762. Proposals must be received by 15 May 2009. Notification of accepted proposals will be sent out on 15 June 2009. Presenters must register for the conference, and will be responsible for their own conference expenses.
