St. Mary's, Tampa 8:00 a.m. Parish Memorial Mass (OF)
Introit: "Requiem aeternam" (chant) Kyrie: chant XVI Psalm 23: "The Lord Is My Shepherd" (Crandal) Alleluia: chant VI Intercessions: Byzantine chant Offertory: "I Know that My Redeemer Lives" (Hughes) Sanctus: RM chant Mystery of Faith: RM chant - "Save us, Savior..." Amen: Danish Pater Noster: RM chant Agnus Dei: chant XVIII Communion: "Lux aeterna" / Psalm 130 from By Flowing Waters Recessional: "May Saints and Angels Lead You On" ("In paradisum" adapt., Old 100th)
During the Intercessions, the names of those deceased and/or buried from the parish in the last year are chanted, and a family member or friend places a lighted tea candle in a hollowed-out cross placed where the casket is placed at a funeral (you might call it our adaptation of the catafalque). It's an All Souls tradition here that well predates me. To some of you it might sound a little hokey (I did when I first heard about it), but I think it turns out very nicely.

Holy Family Church, Gas City, IN Sung TLM Requiem Mass
Charles-Francois Gounod's Requiem in C Major was performed in its entirety, supplemented by Gregorian chant for the Gradual/Tract, Offertory, and prayers of Absolution afterwards. The responsory Peccantem me Quotidie (from Matins of the Dead) was sung for a Communion motet, which was not originally planned but added at the last moment due to the surprising turnout of faithful to this mass.
Yours Truly took care of the orchestral portions of the evening, while our very own LenaH conducted the chants. In addition to our regular organist, we were supplemented by the Reen Family String Quartet (the children of the late Dr. Reen) and a harpist from the Ball State University School of Music. The average age of our accompanists was eighteen.
This truly was a beautiful service. Our newly-formed altar server confraternity was able to offer the full rites for the first time, with ample dexterity. All in all, a wonderful achievement for our choir, and a watershed moment for our Latin mass community. (I've included the program below.)
It's not my choir to share, but I was privileged to sing Tenor I last night with the FSSP Apostolate in Minneapolis, which did Victoria's 6-voice requiem under the inspired direction of Mr. Jacob Flaherty, their Choirmaster and Organist.
Vespers and Compline of the dead were chanted afterwards from the sanctuary.
