I caught the beginning of today’s mass on EWTN, and I just wanted to say that the music was lovely. Instead of a hymn, the entrance antiphon was sung to a simple psalm tone, accompanied by organ. In general, the music on the EWTN masses has grown more beautiful over the last few years, with more choral music, lovely organ playing, and better and better singing. It is wonderful to see them adding the proper chants. Bravo!
This could be used as an example to many churches for daily mass. At a local church I attend the congregation sings one verse of a pretty awful hymn. Wouldn't a chant be divine!
