Hello! I'm about to graduate from by Theology/Music Degree here in Ireland. I also happen to be an Organist in the College and part of our graduation ceremony is that an anthem is sung. I would like something new for my own graduation. The Director of sacred music said the criteria needs to be a high energy piece, with suitable celebratory text and about 2.5 to 3 minutes long. Any suggestions?? Thanks!
  • Benjamin Britten's Jubilate Deo.
Or, if your people are up to it, his Te Deum in C.
I think that a Te Deum would be very appropriate for a graduation.

I think so too but a Te Deum is an endurance test for a choir that is banded together for this singular occasion! I'll look at the Jubilate Deo though, thank you!
