I want to sing 'we adore O Christ etc' for our childrens stations, found this psalm tone on cpdl (Thanks) and adapted it to the verse. Any helpful feedback appreciated.

  • You have children who can sing it?

It doesn't look all too difficult. Will they be confused by genuflecting in the middle of singing?
Our priest always leads, "We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You," and then we respond with the end of it. Is that your plan? To have the priest intone it, and the children finish it; or something else?

  • Well, I'm impressed if others have children's choirs who could easily knock this one out. My kids would struggle with some of those chords, and I have no children who can convincingly sing low As and Gs, as are in that bass part.

(I wasn't considering the full chord, but I didn't think a children's choir could actually sing that range, to begin with. I was thinking of the SA parts, at most.)
  • That makes sense. The SA part looks doable.

Perhaps the choir can bow as is common during a monastic doxology?
