    Uh .. I think the people come to church on Sunday .. because it is Sunday.
    The weekly obligation.
    Nothing to do with what might or might not be the scriptural focus.

    This year Baptism of the Lord is not on Sunday?
    next year it IS on Sunday?

    The Baptism of the Lord was on Sunday ... in places that didn't transfer their observance of the Epiphany from Saturday to Sunday.

    Or the Baptism of the Lord is on the Octave day of the Epiphany so this coming Saturday. EF calendar!
