Give peace, O Lord, in our time because there is no one else Who fights for us if not You, our God. Da pacem, Domine, in diebus nostris Quia non est alius Qui pugnet pro nobis Nisi tu Deus noster.
A prayer for us all, especially in November / December, I think.

Very nice performance, but I fail to understand why the original 1st alto part (SAAT voicing) - 2nd soprano part (SSAT voicing) has been transposed down an octave to become a bass (or baritone) part. Yes, the top two parts of the original voicing cross one another, but that is not at all uncommon. And the frequent inversions of chords, in which the fifth degree is on the bottom, are somewhat jarring harmonically. Can you explain the rationale or perhaps point to another source for this?
It was the only way I could get it to work with the group that I had (and likely with my current group). Had basses, but didn't have sufficient top voices for doubling either the SOP or ALT line. I'm in the same situation with my current group, so we'll likely continue with the same edited version.
Although, actually... it might have been that way in the St. Pius X hymnal. I'd have to go back and verify. This was something from several years ago (recording from 2-3 years ago, music entry from 4-5 years ago).
