Beautiful organ case!
Nice Presbyterian classical architecture - with maybe a curious hint of Romanesque..
I found the concerto more pleasing when I listened to what it was instead of what it wasn't. An interesting work by a man I hadn't heard of. -
Nice. I just read a short bio on him. He was quite an illustrious musician in his day. I had never heard of him, either.

He mat have been part of that Cecilian mvt. So much unexplored music in that period.

He didn't write a lot of liturgical music though. Mostly organ music, some orchestral and chamber music, several big oratorios. I'd heard a CD of his wedding music, and it was pretty fully Romantic in outlook. The solo part to the concerto is on IMSLP. I haven't found his liturgical music anywhere (there's a list on my site, gleaned from WorldCat.
