I lifted this from a video at the Vatican. Does anyone know where this came from?

  • Could it be derived from 'Bring a torch, Jeanette, Isabella'?
If not, I'd say a kindred stream.
A jingle such as this certainly has no ecclesiastical register, does it!

Not really. There is a polyphonic anthem based on the melody, though, that is quite nice.

I can never find sheet music as most of what is done there was written by either Cardinal Domenico Bartolucci or Msgr. Massimo Palombella and have not been released. My transcription skills are OK but my ear is not so trained with the tight harmonies. Some of Bartolucci's music was released but very little.

Not to mention transcribing the 'Sistine screamers' is very difficult when they constantly lose and/or change tonality.

There is actually quite a bit of Bartolucci's music online for free. Check out his foundation's website, here, for scores. There are 31 a cappella motets, as well as 18 Holy Week Responsories, 20 choral Introits, and a bunch of other stuff.
