A local music director emailed me to see if I had ever heard of the Marian hymn, "Mother Mine, To You I'm Turning." A parishioner in her parish had requested it for a funeral. In googling, IU had an entry for it on their site (here), but no sheet music available.
If anyone is familiar with this, or has a suggestion on finding a copy, I'd be most grateful.
IU may have a provision for copying by a staff member of needed items that are not scanned yet...also, I don't believe the Marian music collection is all online (if any of it) in Dayton, so a call to them might be fruitful
This hymn is actually captioned "Sweetest Mother," although the initial words are "Mother Mine, to you I'm turning," as you requested. The words are by Msgr. W. E. Croarkin and the music by Chas. A. Donelson. It was published by the Mello-Music Publishing Co., Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada. The copy I have is SSA and includes a French version also, "Tendre Mere." I am not familiar with the Mello-Music Publishing Co., but apparently they published quite a bit of Catholic music (English and Latin hymns and Masses). I will scan the copy I have and place it here within a few days.
I am attaching the hymn you requested, "Sweetest Mother." (Mother Mine, to you I'm turning) Sorry it took me so long to get it posted! I tried a couple of times, but the file was too large and would not upload; thus, I broke it into pages and then used the file conventions Chonak recommended.
