Anyone in the SW Minn. region is warmly invited to join us at St. Mary, Help of Christians in Sleepy Eye tomorrow afternoon @ 2 o'clock p.m. for a Service of Scripture & Sacred Music presented by the choirs of St. Mary's Church (the Caecilian Choir, Latin Mass Choir, & High School Schola).
The program will be selections from the Holy Scripture, paired with suitable motets & anthems designed to illuminate them and to promote prayerful reflection, along with some congregational hymnody. Composers whose works will feature include C.H.H. Parry, Allegri, Rheinberger, and Fr. Wilkens, as well as two works by living composers.
Some pieces will be sung by the combined choirs, which total upwards of fifty voices.
To participate in the discussions on Catholic church music, sign in or register as a forum member, The forum is a project of the Church Music Association of America.
