Director of Music (FT)- Natick Catholic Community (Saint Patrick & Saint Linus Parishes)

The Natick Catholic Community of Saint Patrick Parish and Saint Linus Parish is a well-established Collaborative with a very successful Music Program. The Musical Style of the parishes has a fair range of Contemporary and Traditional styles with a very welcoming environment and a great sense of Ministry. Our parishes are seeking a well-rounded Musician with experience in a Catholic Church setting and a warm and welcoming presence to all who wish to participate in the Music Program. Our current Music Director will be entering the Seminary this fall and we wish to fill this position on August 1, 2017.

Responsibilities
-Must provide/organize the Music and Musicians for all Vigil and Sunday Masses as well as Holy Day Masses.
-Must provide/organize the Music and Musicians for all Funerals and Weddings between the two Parishes
-Must maintain and plan to grow the current Choirs (Adult Choir, Children’s Choir)
-Must lead Choir Rehearsals and establish the Choir’s Schedules for both Parishes
-Must Train and work with Current Volunteer Cantors as well as New Cantors
-Must Train and work with Current Volunteer Musicians as well as New Musicians
-Must establish the Young Adult Contemporary Music Mass
-The Music Director will report to the Pastor, Director of Ministries, and attend a weekly Staff Meeting

Qualifications
-A Bachelor’s Degree in Music (Masters Preferred)
-Must have at Least 5 years’ experience in Parish Music Ministry
-Proficiency in Organ, Piano and Voice is required
-Must be able to Lead and Direct the Choirs at Rehearsals and Mass
-A Practicing Catholic is Preferred
