I'll be visiting Cleveland in February. Anyone have current recommendations for high-quality music for a Sunday Mass? Probably OF would suit the people in my party better than EF. Thanks for any help!
If you're looking for a respectful OF Mass, the 11 AM at Mary Queen of Peace in Old Brooklyn (w.25th) is a good choice, and easy to get to by freeway. Music Director is PaixGioiaAmor, former member of this forum. If you want a 9AM with English chant, try St. John NepomuceneThe Cathedral is recommended for 10:30 or 12:15. For an EF mass, you can hear polyphony at "the Mac" (Immaculate Conception) at noon.
If you miss all that and find yourself in Akron, EF at 1:00 at St. Sebastian on Mull Ave. isn't horrible.
I would also throw St. Adalbert in Berea on this list. That's a bit of a drive from the east side though.
Jeffery is spot on with his recommendations. Mary Queen of Peace is always a good choice. Big, beautiful church with a pipe organ brought in from Georgetown University.
