Sharing sacred music at R.E. Congress?
  • Anyone interested in having a Sacred Music exhibit booth at the Religious Ed Conference in Aneheim Feb. 23 -25?
It's a huge opportunity to evangelize about sacred music.
Anyone interested in offering to be one of the 200 speakers or give one of the 300 workshops?
OCP, GIA & WLP are listed as having an exhibit booth, so it would be wonderful if Musica Sacra was there to
show that there are other options!

    What costs are involved?
  • Perhaps your booth would be roughly analogous to a Low Mass in a dangerous neighborhood at an inconvenient time?:

  • Hi Kathy,

Here's the link for exhibitor information: http://www.recongress.org/ .
Any interest from those who have published sacred music online such as
cc watershed, Illuminare Publications, Simple English Propers, Fr. Kelly?
You could share the cost of an exhibitor booth and call it Musica Sacra - if there were 3 of you it would be approx. $300 each.
  • Sacred Music should get a free pass at congress.

    Don't forget lodging/meals etc.
If any of my CA/AZ colleagues want to confer, I'd be interested.

It's a great idea! Has anyone received an invitation to be an exhibitor?

    http://www.recongress.org/resources/exhibitors.htm

Exhibiting at RECongress is by invitation only. Preference is given to our returning exhibitors. If space is available, potential exhibitors will be contacted.

If you have not previously exhibited at the Religious Education Congress and have interest in doing so for Congress 2017, please complete the Request to Exhibit Form

    A booth costs $900?

I would guess that most folks who purchase the right to have a booth expect to sell enough materials to more than cover the $900 cost.
  • Yes let us all go down to congress and buy happy-clappy music in spite of the fact that Jesus is suffering and dying on the cross.
  • There is also the possibility of being a speaker.
I suppose one would have to inquire with the organization.
  • Kathy? Jeff O? Should we consider tackling this? Might be a good opportunity for evangelization.

Last I heard, he rose again on the 3rd day, and alleluia is our song.

Why not, mum? "All are welcome....all are welcome...."
How come when I hear that, I think of "Poltergeist."
