Just wanted to sing it from the mountaintops that two of the most fabulous tenors joined my choir today! AND I'm to get a THIRD in a few weeks when he comes back from holiday! THREE TENORS! I am over the MOON! What a great rehearsal! My men sound like angels. Oh and they read music and latin! PTL!
I had to have two sons and wait for them to grow up to have two tenors in my choir. Good thing I married an alto and our daughter grew up to be a good alto also.
I have a two really good basses, one of whom is my son. My other son sings tenor. My daughter sings soprano. Next year I will have a child on every part. The only problem with this is that they grow up and go away to college!
How true, canadash! Years ago (Liam might remember this), I had the good fortune to have two graduate student couples in my choir, accounting for two tenors, one soprano, and one alto ... and they were very good. Alas, both of the tenors got their Ph.D.s in economics in the same year, thereby cutting my choir size by about 30%.
