Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church, Houston, TX announces immediate openings for Alto, Tenor and Bass section leaders. As the Principal Church for the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, Our Lady of Walsingham possesses the equivalent status of a cathedral and thus an important emphasis is placed on sacred music which reflects only the highest quality. Repertoire spans a wide range of historical periods with a focus on Renaissance polyphony and music of the English cathedral tradition. Candidates should possess excellent skills in sight-reading, vocal production, choral blend and general musicianship. Understanding and appreciation for Catholic liturgy as well as familiarity with Anglican and Gregorian chant is expected. Must be able to work well in collaboration with both professional and volunteer singers. Regular schedule includes Wednesday evening rehearsals and two Sunday Masses.
