Director of Music Position Available
St. Mary Star of the Sea/Holy Savior Catholic Church, located in Ocean City, MD is looking for a part-time director of music for weekend and special liturgies. Candidates should have at a minimum a bachelor's degree in music. Candidates should be 1) a skilled organist/pianist and conductor, 2) capable of continuing development of ensembles and cantors, 3) able to organize, coordinate, and communicate with various ensembles and cantors. St. Mary Star of the Sea/Holy Savior Catholic Church is located in a tourist town, with many visitors to the parish, especially during the summer months. The music ministry is active year round for this reason. Generally speaking, the parish is accustomed to traditional hymnody and contemporary congregational music. This is a part-time position with a base salary of $20,000 - 25,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits packages are negotiable.
