Short, once-over-lightly article about French organ music

    In case this might appeal readers on this forum ... a Canberra-based traditional-Catholic e-zine (ORIENS) has just published, and is meant to be paying me quite generously for, the following once-over-lightly introduction to French organ music for those unaware of such music.

    Let's face it, numerous allegedly cultivated Catholics haven't got a clue about the Gallic organ repertoire, though that hasn't stopped them from loathing that repertoire (along the lines of the once-famous advertising campaign for Guinness stout: "I don’t like Guinness. So I’ve never tried it”). Perhaps such persons might find that the article's video clips from Couperin, Franck, Dupré and Alain - the last-named played by sister Marie-Claire, no less - will at least pique their interest. Hooray for YouTube.
