    Has anyone typeset the Epiphany proclamation with this year's dates? I would appreciate a copy if you have.

    Here is a PDF. I just took the generic musical setting from the ICEL's website and typed over the dates in red text. Hope this helps.

    I am familiar with it, but have never heard it sung in any parish I attended.

    At our parish we have the Martyrology sung at Christmas midnight mass and the Calendar sung at Epiphany.

    And from my classmate, Fr. Christopher Gray, the proclamation in Spanish, rendered using the version from the website of the Office for the Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff.

    This reminds me of a parish I worked at where they would READ THE CALENDAR at the staff meetings. Since meetings were only every other month we would have to listen to 8 weeks of a secretary mumbling off the same events "Wednesday the 3rd choir rehearsal, AA, religious education and seniors line dancing,..."

    It would only be when they would schedule WHACKY events that we heard something, woke from our boredom induced coma, and demanded she go back. "Saturday the 12th - mini car racing in the parking lot, Sunday the 13th regularly scheduled Masses." WAIT A MINUTE. GO BACK.

    Not that I'm saying the Epiphany chant is boring... But it doesn't work on a bimonthly basis. Or it just doesn't work if recited and not sung.

    My son will sing this. He thought it was funny (this will be the first time we will have it sung) and said he wanted to begin, "Please get your calendars out, and mark down the following..."

    Thanks for this, but unfortunately I'm afraid it is rather clumsy, in my opinion. There are a number of vowels which ought to be elided in Spanish, such as in "la alegría" and (especially) "junio," which is two syllables and not three; some other phrases are set suboptimally or even badly -- for "el día cinco de abril," for instance, I would have set the last three words do-do-do-do-re. And I'm not sure what the quarter bar is doing in between the words "Santísimo (gasp) Cuerpo y Sangre."

    Still, this is a good start, and it always nice to see more things being produced in Spanish.
