Have you and your choir/schola/singing group ever done anything special for the Transitus?
A group I sang with had the honor of singing the chants associated with the veneration of the relics at Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center in Bloomington, staffed by the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate.
We sang an Extraordinary Form Missa Cantata last year with Fr. Robert Herbst, a Franciscan from Berkeley. Tomorrow I can share with you what we sang. It was very interesting. In fact, I wonder if the famous "Sicut cervus" a 4 of Palestrina was perhaps written originally for the Office of the Dead, where the text is "sicut cervus" as opposed to the Easter Saturday liturgy where the text is "quemadmodum cervus."
