Said Judas To Mary: The Strife Is O'er. You Are Mine.

...and how about if the conversation continued? For example:
THE REAL REASON JUDAS HANGED HIMSELF

Said Judas To Mary: "The Strife Is O'er. You Are Mine."
M (a polite refusal): "Once in Royal David's City, I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say 'I am the Bread of Life.' "
    J: "I know that."
M: "My Redeemer Lives. Though Christ Jesus Lay in Death's Strong Bands, The King Shall Come."
J: When Morning Dawns? "I wonder."
M: "As I Wander, All My Hope on God is Founded."
J (trying again): "Abide With Me. Be Not Afraid."
M: "Seek Ye First Throughout These Forty Days a Balm in Gilead." (i.e. how about buying me a liter of spikenard to replace the one I used up?)
    J: "For All The Saints!"
M: "Keep in Mind, Jesus Shall Reign. Lo, He Comes! O Vision Fair!" [exit stage left]
J (disconsolate): "Has Morning Broken?" [edit] "Come Back To Me..."

    Parce Domine.

In actuality very few of these supposedly hilarious results combine two hymn titles, as the OP proposed. Even his own example doesn't do what he proposed in his thread title: Combine two hymn titles to create HILARIOUS RESULTS

So what's the point of saying this is combining two titles: Jesus Loves Me, This I Know + On Eagles' Wings?

This, however, combines two titles without additional words or subtractions: I Know That My Redeemer Lives On Eagles' Wings

Since we've used SFUS in every combination, not to mention HTM, I wonder if the project might be refreshed.

PUT TWO HYMN TUNE NAMES TOGETHER FOR FUN AND PROFIT.

The manner of combining two titles was left unspecified, so who are we to judge that it was not done? Indeed, the example given by the original poster illustrates what he considered an acceptable case.

    WALY WALY
    is the W a "vvv"?
is the A a "ay" or "ah"?
it it repeated or differently pronounced ("tomayto tomahto" or its reverse)?
So many ways to go wrong ...

Here's a few suggestions combining full hymn titles...

    Entrance hymn:
More like Jesus would I be if I were a butterfly

    Offertory hymns:
My soul cannot be still in thy holy place
(...because of all the active participation going on.)
All that I am: it is truly wonderful
(...perhaps this is a little too self-congratulatory?)
I saw the grass upon your table
(Bringing back memories of the '70's?)

    Communion hymn:
Eat this bread 'mid scenes of confusion
(Certainly sounds like Communion during most parishes I visit.)
I received the living Lord as if you were not there
    (ditto)
Bread of heaven, on thee we feed when man grows bold in sin
(Was this written by H.E. Cardinal Kasper?)

    Final hymn:
Bind us together on a hill far away

  • There's a wideness in the lord of the dance
Peace is flowing like a fountain filled with blood
I bind unto myself today a balm in Gilead
Sing, my tongue the first nowell
We're you there once in David's royal city
Ride on, lord of the dance

    For Fr. Krisman-
I bind unto myself today all things bright and beautiful when I survey the wondrous cross
