Hymns in Requiem Mass? Need help fast

    Need this information very quickly

    Can the EF Requiem Mass be a "low" Mass for a funeral?
    Was it in the day?
    And if a Low Mass is permissible, can vernacular hymns be used?
    And if it is a low Mass can the Dies Irae or In Paradisum still be used?

    Low mass. Yes. But the stipend was lower and so they were rare.
    Yes.
    No. May have been local practice (lady yelled at me that this was common in S. PA in her home parish recently)
    Back then the organ could play at Low Mass so I suppose that the Dies Irae and In Paradisum could be sung, but there are those who are more knowledgeable.
