Saint Peter's Catholic Church in Columbia, South Carolina is looking to hire choral scholars in all voice parts for the 2014-2015 season. Exceptionally fine sight-singing, musical phrasing and attention to vowel placement and choral tone is expected. Previous Catholic experience is preferred: a keen interest in promoting excellence in music for children and adults in Catholic parishes is a must. Repertory is 90/10 traditional/contemporary, with a high end of traditional English hymnody, choral settings of the Mass Ordinary and Renaissance polyphony.

Additional compensation may also be obtained from those candidates who display skill in the following areas:
1) Experience with hispanic music ministries (fluency in Spanish)
2) General music administration (filing music, arranging choristers' manuals, choir vestment inventory)
3) Conducting/directing experience (adults and/or trebles and/or teens)
4) Word processing; desktop publishing; graphic arts; social media; web design
5) Keyboard skills (piano or organ: an assistant organist position is very close to becoming reality)
