I love Lassus' 2-pt writing . . . found this gem from his Missa ad imitationem moduli Doulce memoire (phew), in the midst of the Credo.

High and low versions attached (originally SA).

Two-part writing is exceeding difficult to do well - either as composer or performer: there is no hiding - and Lassus was a master. I have often found it easier to write for six voices than for two.

Adam, I have a few more in the works. I'm hoping to round up seven to cover all the ad libitum antiphons in the Graduale Romanum. Having trouble finding a pleasing translation and suitable musical setting for Manducaverunt. I'll get it.

Use the translations from the Lumen Christi Series, so they'll be compatible with the LS Missal. They are (as much as possible) in accord with the new translation of the Roman Missal.

They ate and had their fill, and what they craved the Lord gave them; they were not disappointed in what they craved.

"Craved" not once, but twice. Ugh. We'll see.
